Tertiary education

Bangladeshi universities turn out almost 450,000 skilled graduates annually. The country has 27 public universities funded by the Government and managed as self-governed government institutions. Besides public universities, there are 54 (as of 2008) private universities in the country. There are two international universities in Bangladesh. One is established by Organization of the Islamic Conference IC, while another is funded by Asian University for Women Support Foundation (AUWSF), a United States based non-profit corporation.
